Fit call

20 minutes. Not a sales pitch. Not a free diagnostic. If there's a fit, the next step is a proposal. If there isn't, we tell you on the call and refer you to a firm we trust.

Proposal

Three written options scoped to defined outcomes, delivered within five business days. You choose the engagement level. Every option names the outcomes, timeline, and the principal accountable.

Contract & kickoff

A straightforward engagement letter. Minimum terms: 3 months for Advisory tier, 6 months for Standard, Executive, and Enterprise. Most clients start on a 6-month Standard engagement.

Structured diagnostic (days 1–30)

Current-state assessment. Stakeholder interviews. Technology and security posture review. Vendor and spend analysis. A prioritized 90-day action plan delivered as a written document.

Delivery rhythm

Monthly advisory access. Regular working sessions. Board-ready reporting. Formal reviews at 30 and 60 days. Remote by default, on-site anywhere in the United States when the engagement calls for it. Travel billed at cost, no markup.

Renewal or completion

At the end of the initial term, the engagement continues monthly or concludes with a transition plan. Most relationships continue well past the minimum — because the value compounds once the principal knows the business.

Pricing transparency

Engagements start at $4,500 per month. Specific fees are set by the outcomes the engagement is built around, and presented as three options in every proposal. Cavalier prices the value of the result, not the hours. If $4,500/month is outside the budget for senior technology leadership right now, we're likely not the right fit yet — and that's a fair thing to know early.
